Weird: new blog issues with sidebar login (3 posts)

I am using the default role plugin to make everyone authors. I have also put the sidebarlogin(); tag in my theme directly. When someone, even myself, creates a blog, it hangs on the sidebar and it will not load. It will only load once an admin goes to the blog's dashboard then it will load for everyone and the widget looks great. Is there a way I can get around this while still using sidebar login and keeping everyone authors? Since blog creators don't have admin access they can't do this on blog creation and the blog will stay frozen till I open the dashboard? I even tried the simplelogin plugin and got the same results.

    Any help is appreciated. Cheers.

Sounds like the plugin author needs to update something. In the mean time, why don't you remove the code from your theme and use the sidebarlogin widget?

Yep, definitely the easiest solution is just to remove it although I'd like to bake this one functionality right into the default theme.
