My question is why is why the option "Header Image and Color" has "image"in it. You can't change the header image in it just the colors.

Is there any way to make it possible for users to link to or upload a header image that replaces the themes default header image but only shows on thieir blog?

Yes, using the custom header function. you have to add it to each theme since each theme has a different header & div....

Also, this is a general Wordpress function, not a MU-specific function.

Thanx Andrea. I had tried it but failed but I took a closer look at it and got it working.

So no my question is, can I let users change backgroundimage and color of text and urls?

A lot of themes have the capability to remove title and description text built-in. Your best bet is to find a theme that functions the way you want, and see how they implemented it.

The custom header API that Andrea's tutorial describes automatically includes hiding the title and description text.

But if I remove the kubrick themes original custom header API those functions dissapear but when I leave it there the new function of uploading a image doesnt work but the options to hide text and that is there.
