While searching the forum I typically found unanswered posts regarding variations on this topic.

We get approx. 8-12% new signups that abandon their blog after initial install. Either due to learning curve too high or other reasons.

Does anyone know of a plugin, or a fairly fast way to (manually :-/ ) remove stale / abandoned blogs; other than sorting on blog activity date ?

Ideally I'd like to have some sort of parabolic threshold to send blogs to the eternal resting fields (e.g. new blog signups without activity get kicked within a week, the older the blog/ more posts the longer the threshold to trigger abandonment ) ?????

I found this WPMU Cleanup script. I've never used it personally, but that could at least get you going in the right direction.

powertools does a lot of tidying up.
