I installed WordpressMU through Softaculous.
It set up the domain preference as domain.com/
how do I switch it to sub.domain.com ???

If they set it up that wya for you, there was probably a reason. Did you ask them?

Posted 13 years ago #Softaculous is a automated software installer, like Fantastico. You find the software you wanna use, click install and it does it for you. I don't think there is anyone to ask. And it didnt give any option other than setting up an admin password.

Whoever your host is, that is who you should ask. Who provides Softaculous for you?

Okay, they probably did it that way because the host does not support the other way. It involves way more setup on the server to get the sub.domain.com working and some shared hosts do not allow it.
Either way, if you ask your host, they'll tell you if you can or not.
(also, the technical answer to your question is in fact relatively easy, but there's no point in doing it because without the server set up right, it won't work anyway)
