    Change this text in the admin section of WordPress

    Anyone have any idea where in site admin I can change this ? It's just apeared on my front page ... thanks ... Steve

    Do you mean the "about" page? Sure - it's on the pages section.

    Go to Settings -> Reading. You've set the About page to be the home page.

    Go to the admin area.

    Click on the Pages menu item.

    Edit the About page.

    This is basic WordPress skills.

    Hi Andrea, sorry you might need to see my home page to see what I mean ... the about page is fine ... it's just a header on my home page that I like to change ... realy I have searched the back end top to bottom ... thanks, Steve

    Might have something to do with a plugin ... it only recenty appeared ?

    *sigh*

    That's a WIDGET area. Go to Appearance -> Widgets. If there's no widgets, then that's the default sidebar.

    Yep there is no widgets active ... I think it appeared when I added Wordpress Automatic Upgrade ... WordPress MU 2.8.5.2.
