If anyone is interested I've taken the existing Wordbook plugin and added a lot of functionality to it and recoded it so it will continue to work (hopefully) when Facebook phase out part of their API in a few weeks! It works quite happily with MU if you install it in the standard plugins folder.
Details of what's "new" is here:

Hey, looks like you've done that whether anyone is interested or not :) I am, will test with next post. Thanks!
Looks cool. Now, why don't you go do those same updates for one of the Twitter plugins. :)
Because I don't use twitter?

I think this is cool. Facebook scares me though, so it's hard to tell. :D
Facebook scares me too - and the Facebook API documentation isn't the best in the world so it makes interacting with it a lot of fun
Come to the dark side Steve. :D
Well it will have to wait until I come back off holiday ;-)

Difficult choice Steve .....
Go to the Dark Side (where they have cookies)
or
Stay on the bright side (where they have Jaffa Cakes)
Hmmmmm .... cogitation needed on that one
;-)
Well as I'm sitting here in a kitchen in Maine with fresh coffee and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and I don't like Jaffa cakes, its a pretty easy decision.
Maine? Dangit, where at? We're a stone's throw from houlton.
Also, Friday we spent an inordinate amount of time stuck at the Bangor airport...
In Augusta right now. Not been to Bangor "International" for several years, we tend to fly in to Boston and then grab the Concord Trailways bus to Portland.
I've done a little more tweaking on the code:

Want to stop by at my mom's or my sister's? They're still up that way.
Should we pick up brownies next time we swing by?
@steve the plugin's on my to-try list
I think we've eaten all the peanut butter brownies ;-)
But there is some chowder left....
I've forked this into a new plugin:

It apparently doesn't play well with one of the post to twitter plugins. I'm hoping to try to resolve that ASAP.
