Hello, I have a "problem" here, my server is ready to use www and no-www address, but the WPMU always redirect to a no-www address.
I'd like to disable the redirect to can use both www and no-www address, without the redirection, I've checked the .htaccess file, but I did't found anything about this in the file.
All the best!
Alexandre
WPMU only expects non www style addresses, although it can be modified to support them. I assume you want it that http://www.blogname.domain.com and blogname.domain.com basically point to the same place?
Thanks for the reply Steve, yes, it is exactly what I'm looking, the only difference is I'm not using sub-domains.
I know when I use only the WordPress I can do it with no problem just updating the .htaccess, I already did this in another site, but in MU is different.
All the best!
why do people on this forum just stop responding back to each other...i see it all the time ...it is quite annoying. There is no forum eticit
What do you mean by that?
I told them what I know... I don't want www in my urls so I've never investigated ways of working round it.
"There is no forum eticit "
Etiquette is the word you're looking for. And yes, there is. But it doesn't cover things like "all questions must be answered". :)
3.0 makes this irrelevant. Yes, you get a notice, but some have safely ignored it.

Hmm, I've upgraded to MU 3.0 but I can't seem to find the place where to change http://blogname.nl to http://www.blogname.nl.
Does anyone know?
Your database is the best bet.

Hmmm, if I edit it in wp_domain_mapping to www. in front of it I get an error on the website that says that I can't register for the site. It sees it as a new website instead of the already existing site.
Am I in the wrong table?
If you upgrade to 3.0 and you upgrade to the latest version of the domain mapping plugin (released yesterday), it will let you use the www.
