Hi, is there anything like the forum portals here with wordpress mu? If yes, that would be wonderful, because the default wpmu home theme doesn't offer many functions, and for those non-coders it could be fairly difficult to gain something nice. I search google using "Wordpress mu portal" but had no luck, maybe there are some plugins but not named "portal"? Many thanks!

Yeah, you're searching for entirely the wrong thing. you just need a new theme, and to get the "portal" functionality, a few sitewide plugins.

But won't it be nice if somebody create a portal plugin? it will help making the site home page so easy, and a lot of fun. I mean, the blocks in portal plugins....

Posted 16 years ago #Any theme with widget sidebars can be used as a portal theme and the plugins like Andrea linked are portal plugins.
