WordPress MU

OK, I did search the forums and online. Yes I know I need 5TB of ram and a dedicated Quad Core CPU. Yes, my mama told me not to be penny wise and pound foolish.

That said, I want to try to start off shared and migrate as visitors (and hopefully revenue) increase. I'm actually only going to have one blog and restricted number of groups. I just need MU for Buddypress (which I know adds additional overhead).

My questions are, given these criteria:

• Should this configuration work on shared as a starting point?
• Does any host have a good migration path
• I'm at Webfaction now for regular WP. Is there anyone else here with experience with them? I emailed the two posters I found through searching on "Webfaction."

I'm using webfaction - they are good. I have had no problems.

Also at webfaction running a few blogs on WP and in the process of moving them all over to WPMU. I've been really happy with WebFaction, so far.
