so, i added the plugin to my site http://www.pt-eliten.no/wordpress-mu
and the avatar works fine, but, how do i make it so that when u press the f.ex: healthyline button, the avatars load in the mainframe?
like in the " blogs" button at http://www.hypebeast.com site?

i figure its an simple php code that goes in the site.. but stupid me cant figure it out!

You don't delete the post. You tell us how you fixed it and leave it here so that everyone else can learn from your solution. :)

    ahhhha! ;)
the problem fix is simple, using 2plugins and shortcodes ..

    step 1.
    install and activate plugin nr1
    from here: http://www.sterling-adventures.co.uk/blog/2008/03/01/avatars-plugin/

    and from here:
    http://authoravatars.wordpress.com/

    step 2.
in dashboard, go to users, avatars and give the blog user an avatar ( i used a img code from where i took the avatar, ex: facebook,) and hit update.

    step 3.
create a new page if you have not created a "blogs/users" page,
use the following short code to get the avatars and the name of the user [authoravatars avatar_size=75 show_name=true] , size defining the size of the image.

step 4. publish page and you will see the avatars in line with the user name, if you press the avatar you will be directed to the user/author it belongs to :)

since the two plug ins work together , the global avatar plug in will make the chosen avatar global to your MU network.. in my case the avatar comes up when you comment on a post, when you post in the forum and since the author avatar is a widget ready plug in, i have 3 random blog users/authors listed in my sidebar :)

there is probably a better fix to get this done but i havent found it yet.

the global avatars plugin is supposed to give the author the opportunity to upload their own avatar from a hard drive, but have not tested that yet, you will find out how to do it in dashboard---->users---->avatars under " user uploads".

hope this will help others.. and if it is needed i can take screens of how to do it.

When i submit the avatar using this plugin, the page returns a kind of error "File upload error" and nothing more.

I have checked permissions but nothing has changed and i don't know how to solve this "puzzle" =P

    Help me please =D

as in uploading an avatar as a user withing the blog? i have not tried this option... but it should work..

if it doesn't work for you, you could just go into users---> avatars and then type in the url for the avatar in " local", hit the update button and its up :)

    are you using both plugins?
if you cant get it working then try this one out : http://wpmututorials.com/how-to/making-a-member-list-blog-directory/

im not going to try the upload function until i get all my bugs fixed..
