I want my users to be able to add advertising blocks like adsense to their blogs. Most (if not all) of the plugins I tried let users to enter full html script code. Is this safe for us? I mean, users can practically enter a code to call on a remote harmful script right?

No, it's not. Javascripts along with embeds, php and object code can be used to do things like lift cookies or gain access to your site. That's why they're stripped out by the software.
Adsense has been discussed a few times previously. I'm time limited today but a search of the forums should pull up suggestions of what to use. (Also my own trac is down this morning so I can't get to the link and a quick google won't pull it up)
