    How to edit the 'admin' username?? I have a big issue keeping a site admininistrator account with the name of admin... that's asking for trouble!! (yes I tried editing the user record in the DB but then the site didn't load??)

    The alternative would be to remove the 'admin' account totally and have it replace with another site admin account... BUT that failed... cannot remove user id 1????!! (although the prompt says user deleted)?

    Any hints? Tx!!

    I actually edit it with phpMyAdmin myself. I do it with normal WordPress as well. Not sure why the site doesn't load for you when you do it. Works fine for me.

    You have to do it in the wp_usermeta and wp_users tables.
