WordPress MU

I have downloaded wordpress-mu-2.8.6.tar.gz, then after extracting this in my application root folder and renameing it to blogs, when i have opened it into browser. it showing error
"Error establishing a database connection"
when and how to specicfy database name

Well did you set up the Database and the user and give it the right privs?

getting the same error.. db made and working too :(

DB on the same host as the Server? What connection information did you give it?
