I just noticed this, and it is new and more than likely a privilege issue however, it is new.

If you are on the login page, and switch between compatibility views in IE you get an 500 Internal Server Error...

And of yes, it is on a Web Server 2008

Any ideas? Also, I know a work aorund for it would be a "redirect" during "logout" that would send users back to the front page

Could someone tell me how to rewrite the redirect in wp-login.php? I tried adding the entire url as per some web page posting but, that did not work... thanks

So what is the server error log showing when you get the 500 error. That might tell you what is going on.

cannot send headers or some such... however, I was just adjusting security settings and if I give users write permissions on the wp-admin folder and not any of the sub folders the problem goes away -- I suppose I could go down the list of files one-by-one-by-one doing the same thing until it fails again... any faster solutions/ideas?
