I have tried everything and searched in much of the template but I am still not able to remove it from my blog's footer.
Is it allowed to be removed ?
Why has wordpress made it so difficult to remove this attribution link ?
Please guide me as to how I can remove this link from my blog

Note - I have tried the edit footer plugin but that does not help to remove the phrase but can only add additional html.

Look in the functions.php file in that specific template.
Wordpress have NOT made it difficult to remove it. Mublogs who I presume provided the theme have made it difficult.

But the code was not present in functions.php
Since I use the Thesis theme I needed to use thesis hooks
to remove it.
