I've "successfully" installed wordpress-mu on my site. I get to the page where it tells me to check the permissions on the folder and gives me my admin password with a button to login.
When I click on login, I get a database connection error.
The database has been written (the tables are all there). So I'm not sure what the problem is. I've successfully installed regular wordpress just the other day (deleted it).
Thanks in advance!
Did you delete all the files as well?

Wow. Of course after I take the time to make an account here and post this question do I find out what's wrong. The config file was written incorrectly. It doubled part of my database name for some strange reason. Anyway, if someone gets a database connection error AFTER installation, double check your config file. Is this a known bug?
* Note I did not try to manually create the config file, followed protocol
Nope, never heard of it happening before.

This happened to me as well. For some reason, it put a single blank space before my database name...ie...instead of 'wordpressMuDB', it came out as ' wordpressMuDB'. I removed the space and it worked...now for some reason it's not accepting my admin password :(
