WordPress MU

2part question..

I tried to initially install MU within folders and it gave me "INTERNAL 500 errors"... then i ultimately wanted/decided to do a wildcard domain installation but the installation is ALWAYS looking for the OLD subfolder path... eventhough i deleted all files in that subfolder...

1. How do i remove all traces of the original install?

2. Hod do i install with wildcard subdomains if i already have an existing website with INDEX.php on the root? Do i rename the MU index.php to something else?? Anyoone done this before?

wow... no suggestions? is the answer that obvious?

1. did you drop all the tables in the database? Did you remove hidden files such as .htaccess?

2. You don't.

If you want username.yourdomain.com, MU absolutely has to be in the root. If something else is there you're outta luck.
