No, it's a separate program.
If you want to have multiple blogs on your current WP install, you have two choices:
- wait until WP 3.0 comes out
or
- export all your WP posts & stuff, take that down, replace the install with WPMU, import your content. -
Yeah I seen the import option from searching the forums. It loos intense but it's only 7 tables it should be fairly easy.
I also have many authors this will be a pain as well.
I don't think I will ever do it. If anything I will take all the good posts and re post them at the new site.

Just go to the backend of WordPress to Tools -> Export menu. That will give you a file with all your posts, pages & comments.
