So now there are three different plugins available:
    - MultiDB from WPMUdev Premium
    - HyperDB, automattic
    - SharDB, Ron from WPMUtutorials

Could anyone clearify or shed some light on:
    - differences?
    - similarities?
    - pros and cons?
    - probabaility to be used on 3.0 ?
    - easy of installation and upgrades?

Well, two of them are free, so it's easy enough to read the direction on each plugin, and I know Ron did an extensive post on the blog.

Andrea, SharDB is still showing up as 2.9.1.1 on it's home page:

    Thanks Andrea :)
I was waiting for the migration utility to come out.

Also how is WP 3 going to affect this plugin? (will it work? will it break? will it create wormholes and space-time loops?)

Ron has been swamped lately, poor guy.

When the RC-1 comes out, he'll test it, but isn't expecting any show-stoppers.

Quick note: in 3.0 enable the network *before* adding SharDB.
