Can't install new plugin or theme (5 posts)

I've used wordpress before and have had no problem after an installation installing themes and plugins. This is my first MU install. It appears to be working fine in some area but I do not have the plugin area on the left hand side nor do I have an "add new" option for adding a new theme. Any idea what I may have done wrong?

Themes have to be added centrally and then enabled by the site administrator. Once you've done that then themes are available under the Appearance menu

Plugsin are disabled. Go to the Options menu under Site Admin and at the bottom you should see a section titled Menus (Enable or disable WP Backend Menus)

Make sure the enabled box is checked for Plugins.

I don't see an options menu under site admin. I've been through the general settings and I don't see any check box to enable plug ins.

Here is what I have as far as options go.

First, that's the wrong options screen.

Second, you have no SITE ADMIN menu. It shoudl be right under the Dashboard menu. Are you logged in as admin? the username created at installation?
