I have just install WP MU
everything went fine, I tried to register new user and blog, it shows it is registered in my admin panel, but I am unable to view the new blog as it is not creating physically.
    any help

Blogs aren't physically created - they exist only inside the database.

Have you followed the instructions to the letter? Have you enabled mod_rewrite in your apache configuration. Have you enabled wildcards in your DNS and in your apache configuration? You need those last two if you are running in sub-domain mode.

Yea I have installed the normal version its working fine, But the MU version is not working as expected,
I am under a plesk hosting, windows platform, having php 5, mysql5 service enabled.
When I create a new blog (xyz) it show in my admin panel, but I am not able to view, http://www.mydomain/blogs/xyz
http://www.mydomain/blog works fine, and I can create user but not blog,
I want to provide blog support to my website user.

You've not got WP and WPMU installed in the same directory structure have you?

Also you've got WPMU running subdirectory mode running from a sub directory which I think is a bit trouble prone.

Yes my WP and WPMU are install in different directory and different database.
I am trying all combinition, including, sub-domian, sub folder but nothing seems to work , same problem, but its time I use new database so I don't think its database problem,
    still waiting for the solution,
or is it its not working under window hosting in dotnetpanel???
    still experiment goes on...

Have you tried WPMU in the root folder with NO www in the url?

    Just now i reinstall again
    in my site: blog.mydomain.com
and chose directory option and got the following error

WordPress database error Table 'mydb_wpmu.wp_blogs' doesn't exist for query SELECT * FROM wp_blogs WHERE domain = 'blog.mydomain.com' AND path = '/' made by require, include, include_once, require_once, require_once

    similarly for wp_sitemeta, wp_blogs, wp_sitemeta and this wp_sitemeta,

And when I refress the page I got the default installation complete page.

Have you tried WPMU in the root folder with NO www in the url?

I have no idea - and its very worrying that your hosting provider has no clue either.

Are you on Apache or IIS?

I would move to a Linux host. More so because it IS worrying that the host appears to have no clue.

    I think its on IIS,
I cannot move to linux server now because all my code are written in asp and its a 4 years news based website.

    I have one doubt
when i create a new blog say xyz
the address i am shown is http://blog.mydomain.com/xyz
does it mean, it creates xyz folder on this domian blog.mydomian.com
if this is the reason i am not seeing any such.
even I am not able to view the default about page, which is link as http://blog.mydomian.com/about
and i don't have any folder as about in my domain.
let me know any post installation setting i need to change (dns/setting page/installation page etc)

    Hey,wborok
Had you tried to create a blog like http://blog.mydomian.com/blog, which must be 404 error.

"and i don't have any folder as about in my domain."

It won;t make a folder. They are virtual. That's why you need mod rewrite.

"I cannot move to linux server now because all my code are written in asp and its a 4 years news based website."

But MU works best in Apache. Get a linux based host for the WPMU site you;re setting up.

Are you trying to integrate it with the asp site?
