Message: Hello, I am Roshan, post graduation student. I would like to
start a new blog network just like blogger.com . In my website, users
are allowed to register for an account, and after registration, the
can start creating blogs. Suppose that my site address is
http://example.com, then the blog urls will be something like
http://myblog.example.com . How to do so. How to enable new themes and
design my own themes. Is there a way top chage the theme of the
page(dashboard) that the users see after logging in. Can the users
select their own theme for their blogs.
How to display a login section in the hompage. How to provide links to the user's dashboard, profile, etc i the homepage.?
nb:- i am not having any knowledge in programming languages except
c++.
how to do so: read the readme.txt in mu
enable themes: thats build in, try it
design my own: learn css, html, javascript and php
change them in dashboard: yes via plugins or hack it in
select own themes: yes ofcourse thousands
display login in homepage: yes its pretty default
links to dashboard: /wp-admin
I estimate you need a few months catching up.
roshgorg - go to wordpress.com. Sign up for an account. poke around, play with things.
When you install WPMU, you will be making a site like that.

You may want to review and think about the "Is mu for me?" sticky as well. No offense but if you have no experience with php, mysql and the rest, running a blogging site for clients maybe not be such a good idea.
