Sudden Problem with False Positives in Akismet Spam Folder (4 posts)

    Hi,

Since my last upgrade (of BuddyPress and WPMU) about a week ago, Akismet has been placing virtually all comments in the Spam folder, across several blogs. I just upgraded Akismet to 2.2.7 (from 2.2.6) but that did not seem to fix the problem.

I have installed Akismet in mu-plugins directory sitewide and have manually entered my Akismet Key (free non-profit use approved by Akismet). My config screen on each blog says all is well, so I'm not sure what's happening (a not at all uncommon state for me).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks - Erin

Okay, here's something strange. The comments making their way into the spam folder are still showing up on the site Activity Stream (at least for logged in users). WTF?

Please contact Akismet support. It will help if you include your API key and blog address in your message:

Happily, Akismet is blameless! I figured out that the problem is actually related to the Re-Captcha plugin I was using. I disabled it and all is back to normal. Now to see what's going on with that.
