I created some accounts manually for some friends. None of them are able to resolve to their blog nor resolve to the wp-login.php path.

I have installed for sub domain and I really don't understand what's going on. I am hosting on hostgator and they assure me that wild card dns is set up and I have verified that myself.

It did work one time for my friend so we decided to delete his blog and user and try again as a redundant test.

It didn't work, however if he tried to visit the log in page via a proxy the page comes right up! Is his ip getting blocked somehow by MU?

I really need to figure out what this problem is as I have to launch in 48 hours time! ARGG

Did you make the necessary changes to dns and apache as discussed in the readme file?

Then you'll have to go back & ask the people at hostgator. MU doesn't have an IP blocker.
