About a week or more ago I had to export and import posts, comments, etc into a wpmu installation. What happened was all the comment avatars aren't showing on the frontend anymore. They show fine in the admin area. Now the biggest problem is all new comments are also not showing on frontend. What can I do to fix this?

Did you check your error logs?
Are the avatars Gravatars or are you using a plugin for avatars?there's not enough info in your post to help.
