rss feed not working - tried everything (6 posts)

Please help - I am running a buddypress wpmu site using wpmudev's bpscholar theme. I've tried it out on three subdomains now and each time one of the multiple feeds just fails. I've tried rssfeed fix plugin and read hundreds of forum topics but nothing seems to fix the problem.

my site is ww3.homeschoolhub.co.za - I can get the activity feed on my yahoo and the straight feed on google reader; I can get both feeds through my outlook rss feed reader, but it doesn't show on facebook's networked blogs and I can't pull it on my feed widgets. Firefox doesn't recognise it, neither does Chrome. Haven't tried it on safari or IE. Seriously frustrating!

I am not clued up enough to know what can be causing all of this - I would LOVE for someone who knows rss issues to wave a magic wand and fix this! Please!!!! :)

ETA - could this be a server issue? I've changed servers recently and was wondering if something there was messing things up? and what about XML coding - I don't have XML declarations on my feeds - would it help to put that in? If so, which code? Seriously clueless here.

Set it on the default theme and see if you get the same?

http://ww3.homeschoolhub.co.za/activity/feed/ is the address, looks fine to me. I'm using firefox.

By feed widgets, I hope you mean on another site.

    (homeschooling since 1994 here...)

thanks Andrea (nice to meet fellow homeschoolers!) - I've tried it on the default theme on ww2. still doesn't work completely. Feed validator comes up with problems that I have no idea how to solve. Anyone????

Feed validator comes up with problems

99% of the time it's a plugin. If the feed is invalid, it;s rarely a theme issue.

Also constantly getting feed errors on the activity feed. Depending on user blogs being fed. It is not parsing correctly. I have to clean it up regularly. http://thirdnote.net/activity/feed/

That appears to be a Buddypress feed from a bp feature. You may want to bring that up on their forums. I would suggest making note of what specific problems you;re having.

    It does currently pass though:
