Odd prefix in permalink (6 posts)

    hi all.
    i have this weird prefix that WPMU keeps prepending..

    how to fix?

    It would be helpful if you state what you;re seeing. Not everybody can view an image or can access imageshack.

    He's getting the /blog/ in the permalinks.

    MU sets that in there as a way to avoid collisions between page names and blog names in a subfolder install. there are plugins to remove it, but they don't do any checks for collisions.

    @andrea: is there a way to change that slug per blog? this way i can change it to something more 'meaningful' AND avoid collision

    The /blog/ shows up *only* on the main blog. It won't show on the other ones.
    Actually, there are a number of remove blog permalink plugins. 3 at least count. Unless you want to hack it, there's no way to change it to something different.
    If you're the one creating the blogs for yourself, being mindful of page slugs and blog names is your best bet.

    And tdjcbe means he can click on that link but where he is, it's blocked.
