How to automatically backup MU? (2 posts)

    Hi,

I am using MU version 2.8.5 (because html posting doesn't work for later versions, on my Blogs).

What's the best way to do a regular automatic backup of a MU site?

I use WpDbManager on regular WP. Will that work on MU, if I put it in the mu-plugins folder (I understand about putting the files on the root rather than in a folder).

Or is there another way ??

thanks in advance for any info :)

    Chris

On the db side, I use http://sourceforge.net/projects/automysqlbackup/.

On the code side, I have everything in a Subversion (SVN) repository.

Although I haven't done it yet, you could setup a hook script to automatically update the code on your webserver when you committed new code to the repository, so that the server stays in sync with the repository.
