Is there a way to set a private theme for the admin blog (so we can use our custom branding), and not have the theme available to all users?

    For example:
    /wp-content/themes/admin-blog/ <-- available for domain.com and not for user.domain.com?

Is there an action hook I can put in place to allow for admins?... Just not seeing how I can make this happen.

Sure, it's been in there a long time.

    No hooks needed.
