Hi, hopefully someone can help me.
I changed the path for one of my blogs from http://groups.wdm.org.uk/edinburgh to http://groups.wdm.org.uk/edinburghandlothians.
Now all the posts and pages for that blog have disappeared! Help! Anyone else come across this?
My host annoyingly charges me to restore database backups and I've not done one myself for a while so I'd rather not have to do that...
Did you change the url of that blog in all places in the db? Can you access the backend and resave the permalinks?
Hi Andrea
No, I didn't change the url in the db - do you know which table(s) it is?
Can't access the posts in the backend, it's just reverted back to the standard 'Hello World' post.
Also, when I type in a url that doesn't work it now brings up the 'Edinburgh and Lothians' blog instead of my custom 404 page.
Try http://groups.wdm.org.uk/asdasda, for example.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Just to clarify, how specifically did you change the url of your blog if you didn't do it in the database?

There are *multiple* places in the database where it stores your URL. As well as wp-config.php.
If you have phpmyadmin, there's a search function.
@tdjcbe I went to Site admin > Blogs and changed the url there.
@andrea_r Changed the urls everywhere but it still doesn't work...
I think I'll just restore a backup!
