Hello I have just in stalled wpmu and am getting a 404 error.
I get to the login page and enter my details. When I submit I go to http://******.info/index.php/wp-login.php
I have looked at my source code and it says I should be going to http://*****.info/index.php/wp-admin which makes sense.
I am not sure which version I am using but it is whatever is on the wpmu download currently.
How do I fix this???
Thanks so much in advance,
Karen
Because it's stuffing index.phph in there. are you on a windows server?
Did you realize this functionality is now in WordPress 3.0?
Can we please remove the porn links up there? Or turn them into *.tld's please? :)

Andrea...I don;t know what you mean by stuffing index.phph. How do I fix it please???
I am on firefox.
Also don;t know what you mean by functionality in wp 3 now. All I have done is installed the wpmu from the download site.
Sorry tdjcbe....did not realise that the xxx would go to a porn site. If I knew how to edit it...I would. Perhaps the mod could.
Thanks
Karen

I am on firefox.
Look at the links you provided. It has index.php in the middle when it shoudl not.
You may be on firefox, but your website appears to be hosted on a Windows Server.
Also don't know what you mean by functionality in wp 3 now. All I have done is installed the wpmu from the download site.
That's what I'm telling you. WPMU 2.9.2 is the last version of WPMU. When you upgrade, it will be WordPress 3.0. I'm suggestign you try installing that to see if it works better.
Links fixed. thought they were fake. ;)

Ok I have installed wp 3 and am getting HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error.
I entered in my user and password in the the config file but no joy.
Have check that chmod is 755.
Please advise,
Karen
Have you talked to your webhost?
The 500 error almst always puts the specific error in the webserver's error logs. Please check in there. (Ask your webshost if you don;t know where your error logs are.)
