WordPress MU

Hi there,

I have two domains set up on a single server. One is currently running MU for our school and teacher websites. The other is going to be a private teacher intranet. Currently, the intranet is located in a completely different directory, but that could be changed to a subdomain alias inside the public directory, if necessary. On the public site, I am using the domain/sitename format to create new sites. What I would like to do is use MU to run my intranet site, and forego an install of Wordpress SU and the management of separate configurations that would require. Is this even possible? If so, how?
