1. wordpress officialy telles that many big wordpress free blog providers are using wpmu ... so are they using this exact wpmu which we get or they have some more developed and enhanced thing.
2. how can i shift to a different hosting provider ... if i am using wpmu ...
3. i install wpmu in directory /wpmu .... now if i am providing blogs in subdirectory ... it shows url like ... example.com/wpmu/username ... however i want the blog adress to be as example.com/username... how can it be done
4. on VPS hosting can i provide blogs in subdomains ?
are these questions too diffcult or too easy to get answered ? :(

You can find the answers to these questions by searching th site.
They were too easy. I figured someone else would get to it. :)
1. They have specially developed their own version.
2. same as you would moving any site from host to host.
3. Can't to my knowledge, at least not easily. Best to install in root.
4. Dunno. Did you ask them? The subdomains in MU do not actually exist on the server, so when you have a host that has limits on subdomains, this doesn't count. They *do* have to be able to let you have virtual subdomains though, You have to ask them.
