I've read posts and boards. Some saying that MU is and some sayin that it isn't supported. I'm not interested in getting flamed. I installed it fine... However when you go to http://blog.lambertonline.ca (It's a family blogsite) There's nothing. I can access the ADMIN section and there is the presentation link... but no way to modify. I've kicked around wordpress' site for the past week trying to understand my next step and I'm afraid I'm lost. Can somone point me in the right direction? Or did the installation "NOT" work cause I'm missing something? lol

How do I setup content on the main page? lol

first, your host did not configure the access to index.php as a default page to load, so when we go to blog.lambertonline.ca we see the error page...

after that, your blog seems to be instaled fine, you need to login and visit the wp-admin path to manage your content.

if your blog is to be a single blog, i would suggest you to use the original wordpress(without the MU)... because it's a different way to work.

Thanks! I'm actually trying to set it up for my siblings... we are all interested in bloging.

Can you drill down a bit further? How do I start into setting up the content on the main page... A link to directions would be awesome.. I tried reading some of the tuts and they take you to the presentation part of the console... but ther is nothing to setup?

I've played with CMS systems and build websites. Understand html and php but this is new.

    Thanks,

in MU the theme editor is disabled, so to work on the content on the main page, you have to go to your file manager and find /wp-content/themes/home/home.php and edit that.

Thanks so much for your reply.

So do you have to do that for 'every user'?
    OR
Once I setup the content all the users blogs will be the same?

Nope, the /home/ theme shoudl be enabled just for admin. There is an almost identical one for users. The themes are shared, so if you make a change to a theme, it will show up on everyone's blog.

1 more question. Can I limit the number of users? I have maybe 3-4 people that will blog... I don't want just anybody signing up.

    Thanks,

Disable registration and don't include links to sign up after you have the users you want.
