For those in need of a POT file for translating WPMU in their language, I built the file from the 1.0 base using poEdit (how-to here : http://codex.wordpress.org/User:Skippy/Creating_POT_Files
Here goes :

Let me know if it works for you.
Now we just need to start collecting the localized files somewhere. Would wpmudev.org be the place?
Sure thing. I'll add a section for POT files tomorrow. :)
Didn't get to it this weekend but it's at the top of my todo list. I have a feeling that there is going to be a demand for different languages in the future so there definitely needs to be a central place to download POT files.
Good to hear andrew. I am also currently missing a place to share my danish PO/MO files.
Well, from the looks of all the requests for diferent language files - yeah a central download will be very useful.
(and make answering forum questions way easier)
Almost seems to be a no brainer that anyone running a WPMU site should assume more then one language will be needed.
Once I'm ready to go live, I'll be getting http://blog.taragana.com/index.php/archive/matrix-of-languages-supported-in-translator-plugin-40/
For 30 bucks, it's well worth it.

Is there a way to add the translated strings from a Wordpress 2.05 .pot, so that you only have to translate the ones that Wordpress 2.05 and WPMU 1.0 don't have in common?
i used the .mo file from WP 2.1 on WPMU 1.1 with no problems :)
where's the official .pot file?
We're waiting for you to make it. :)
