K2 0.9.5 isn't compatible with WPMU. Please download the latest nightly at: http://getk2.com/nightly/

used the nightly version, but when i upload any banner,
it is uploaded properly but the it is not visible when I checked the files uploaded.

ie there is no way to delete the files uploaded.

it is possible to delete the banners uploaded?

    For your infos, i run wp-mu 1.2.1 / php5 / mysql 5

I downloaded the May 1st nightly snap of k2.

Headers upload work perfectly (uploaded a 10 megapixel pict, cropped, works.)

    BUT

After activating the theme, two warnings regarding missing directories show up in k2 option section
(note that my wp-content/blogs.dir is chmod 777 and belongs to user 'www'):

    wp-content/blogs.dir/<id>/files/k2support/headers
    and
    wp-content/blogs.dir/<id>/files/k2support/styles
    weren't created automagicaly.

After creating the two dirs, settings ownership to 'www' and chmod -R 777 .. it worked..

Pls think about adding the creation of these dirs for nextcoming snapshots ;)

Aside that, many thanks for the new updates & improvements on K2 !

I get the same error as above:

The directory: /path/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files//k2support/styles/, needed to store custom styles is missing.

For you to be able to use custom styles, you need to add this directory.

The directory: /path/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files//k2support/headers/, needed to store custom headers is missing.

For you to be able to customize your header, you need to add this directory and chmod 777 it, to make it writable.

Hey I'm new around here and I just installed WordPress MU :)

Anyway, I heard about K2 and its really cool.. I read through this thread and saw ways to fix some problems that occurs with MU and K2 but my question is where should I download K2 from? Nightly Builds or Stable Releases?

PS> I also saw this in the known issues thread on K2 support forum.

"K2 is not compatible with WordPress MU

As of revision 291, K2 requires WordPress 2.1. WordPress MU is still using the WordPress 2.0 codebase and is currently not compatible with K2."

Maybe we should wait till WPMU upgrades its core to WP 2.1? I'm surprised they haven't yet.

    I got the

    wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files//k2support/styles/

    is missing error message.

Anyone know when its going to be fixed.

Apart from that, and the fact that it insisted on replacing my search with its own Ajax driven one, and even when I got it to use mine it delivered the 404 page text and then my search results, it looked quite good

I've been using TripleK2 with WP, and have now moved to WPMU. I've pulled in my old database, but I can't get the sidebar modules to work.

    I go to:

    Dashboard > Presentation > K2 Sidebar Modules

but tall the sidebars are blank, and I cannot add modules to either Sidebar 1 or 2.

    Any ideas?

    "I got the

Did you notice the extra slash in there?

:D Well, since I don't have it in front of me, someone will have to find out where it inserts the "/k2support/styles/" part, and take out the / at the first. Then try and see if it magically works.

    That better? ;P

I've downloaded the latest version of K2 (r628) and have installed it with WPMU 1.3 on my site (http://thecuriousfrog.com). I have copied the styles I want to use to the styles folders 'themes/k2', 'themes/home' and 'k2support/styles'. I am trying to use it as the theme on the home page, but when I select a style the footer shows the style has been activated, but the appearance of the page stays like the standard style. Anyone know how to fix this?

First, when things like this happen, check the html source of the page.

    I noted it said this:
    http://thecuriousfrog.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/k2support/styles/GlossyBlue/GlossyBlue.css

You uploaded the styels to the wrong spot. Do not use the internal WP uploader. Use your cpanel or ftp and put it in the *theme folder*.

Thanks for that, the theme is actually stored there, as well as the 'theme' folder, and the 'theme/home' folder. The page seems to render ok in IE6 and Safari, but Firefox won't load the style properly. The 'k2support' folder is created by k2 as part of it's WPMU support.

I'm about ready to upload K2 RC 6. Anything I need to know about known compatibility issues?

WP uses a K2 variant that is far lighter than the stock K2, though not as light as the one they stole the name from (mine).
