The host for our site uses Zeus instead of Apache, but aparently they can enable mod rewrite. would WordPressMU work like this? or does it strictly need apache?? The host is a bit of a rip, charges $55 (AUS) to enable it.. but need to know if this will actually work first? :P

Posted 19 years ago #Personally, I have no clue. But if ANY host charges you that much to enable "mod rewrite" then i'd switch to another host. Search the forums, there are tons of recommended hosts. site5.com is often mentioned.

Posted 19 years ago #Ok just called up again, and this time spoke to one of the level 2 techs. Free service of the host is to enable mod rewrite or something in zeus. Have sent them the htaccess file as aparently this is what they require? Will post again with how it goes for anyone else who doesnt have apache with their host.
