    Hi there,

I've done some searching and found a couple of posts regarding this subject, but no conclusive answers...

How do you configure WP Mu sub-blogs to work as top level domains, not just sub-domains.

    Example:
    Curently: subblog.mainblog.com
    Desired: subblog.com

Any ideas on this? Thanks for your help!

Any ideas on this? I was looking over at Site5.com and they have an option that allows for "Domain Pointers." Does this sound like an OK option, or is there an easier way to do this?

I am not sure if domain pointing would work. (many hosts offer it, BTW) Usually, if you have a few domains but one host account, you can point a domain to a subdirectory of your main account.

And, in case anyone asks, no you can't get MU to run off a pointed domain. I tried. :D

But for what you want to do, I know there's plenty of threads around here where people asked. I think a few had the solution.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that they have it figured out over at the main WordPress site:

I've also found this link which requires a little more work to be done:

I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Keep me up to date too, please. I'm looking to do the same thing.
