WordPress MU

I am trying to decide where to install WPMU. In the root domain, a folder on the root domain, or in a subdomain.

Any thoughts? What will the url's like like under the different chooses?

You'll find life with wpmu much easier if you install in the root directory.

I believe it's designed to be installed in the root. Then you'll have yourdomain.com for the main page and admin blog, and users.yourdomain.com for everyone else.

Okay, but can it be the root directory of a url set up on a subdomain? or only the original url for the hosted account?

Another related question. What if you set it up on the original url, in the root directory, what if you create a seperate subdomain, not using MU, will that subdomain interfer with MU? This would mean, that MU is the ONLY thing that could be on the domain. Thoughts will be appreciated.
