WordPress MU

Does anyone know of some nice extenstions to support submission of blog posts by email? Preferably ones that support images?

That's checking an external email account, rather an inelegant solution ;)

At the moment I've hacked together some scripts to form an exim mail transport which allows direct email->wordpress submission. Image transposition etc might prove a little more difficult. I'll have a good look at those plugins.

@octarine: sure that is better but most don't have the possibility to install that. Better extend the current one to send a mail to a specific address and ask for reply.
So I have to send two mails to make a post.

Tom. Permission isn't a problem is my particular case, since it's a closed system I'm receiving the submissions from, and the From: addresses can't be faked. In a more general sense I can configure perl to check the PGP signature of incoming submissions, which is pretty fool proof. I want to setup a system where usse of the website is optional for running the blog, so having to configure a pop3/imap account for each user is not ideal.

Question, folks.

I had my e-mail postings working fine last night. Decided I wanted to have Wordpress at the root level, so I deleted all of the WP files, adn re-installed. I'm now able to update the blog the manual way, but the e-mail postings no longer work. I'm able to check the e-mail account through Outlook Express, so i know I've got that part right.... I just feel like I'm missing something stupid. Any thoughts?

I am in the same boat with that particular issue. I have NEVER been able to get that to work though. Even with WP-SU... It is driving me nuts... I would be very interested to hear any potential fixes that people may have come up with.

I looked at the codex link that jaseone posted, in my normal WP installations I can find this and it works BUT in WPMU it seems they have removed it..?

Have anybody a running E-Mail-Blogging Script for wordpress mu. Where each user can blog via e-mail in their own blogs.

The plugins for normal Wordpress don´t work with mu.

Have anybody an idea?
