This may not be MU compatible for anyone wondering.

Not a plugin, it's a file replacement instead. Since my "best guess" is that it's centered around the current WP release, and MU is centered around 2.1, check the forums here first as it's been discussed recently.

A new plugin has just been released called Kill Preview

This requires no core hacks or changes and works with MU out of the box. So anybody experiencing these issues i would advise to use that instead.

Much better option Diz than the original post.

( I dunno why someone makes something for WP and expects it to be MU compatible without even trying it. sigh...)

I love the preview, its one of the few things missing from Drupal so disabling it for me is a noway option.

However i can see the highlighted argument above that on some sites flash etc may get in the way.

As you say, never hack a core file unless you have to and never try and just replace a core file with one from another distribution unless you test it fully.

Plugins that replicate are a much easier and far safer option that core edits or replacements :)

    Exactly, D.

Although I must say that personally the preview frame drives me nuts. :D

I did notice with the plugin though, that the link to the preview pop-up doesn't display like the plugin advertises. Not that it's an issue though.

Theres no need for a new plugin created. This one

seems to work fine for your solution.
