Hello folks
I did install the wordpress nu under a folder called "blog" in the root folder.
The problem is that when I want to acess certain blog, I have to type:
http://david.mydomain.com/blog/
I'd love to type just
http://david.mydomain.com
to access (so not blog/ in the end)
Is this possible?
Thanks
David.

Sure it is. Install MU in the root of the domain, instead of a subdirectory.
that would be indeed the easiest way :) but I have another things in the root and I would prefer to have the blog in a sub-folder. Is there any other option?
Cheers,
David.

install the primary blog on a subdomain, and then hack the registration code/functions to set the primary domain as domain.com vice username.sub.domain.com.
But, this topic has been discussed quite a bit and beat to death recently.
Hello,
I did install the primary blog on a subdomain, for instance http://blog.mydomain.com, but now the new blogs can't be reached: http://xyz.mydomain.com/blog/. This is because wildcards are not enabled in Apache. Why I disable
wildcards? because I wanted to use a fresh install in blog.mydomain.com.
According my provider:
"Because you required wildcard subdomains, *.mydomain.com is now directed to your root public_html directory. If you want us to remove wildcard subdomains, let us know and we'll turn them off."
The problem now is that new subdomains are not working.
Any ideas?
David.-
btw, what do you mean about "hack the registration code/functions"?
