1.0 is available from the Download link here. It's the current "official" release, etc.

Nightlies are available as drmike said.

"Aim" means aiming for a tagged set as 1.1.1 in trac, pretty much. With 1.1 not making it to the download page here, 1.1.1 might not either.

Donncha's been fixing things like crazy lately, which is a good thing. Of course we keep breaking things too. :D

Here is the version from the bottom of my admin page. I just installed this nightly today.

wordpress-mu-1.1.1 — 0.18 seconds

I would suggest using the nightly, simply for the caches fixes in there.
