Hi,
Got WPMU running so far. When I create a blog entry, the URL looks like:
mysite.com/wp/blog/2006/11/1/my_blog_title/
However, I want to remove the word "blog" and either change it to something else or leave it off completely.
How can I do this?
Thanks

If you're running a subdomain install, it's possible.
If not, which by the fact it's in a subdirectory off the site root points to a likely subdirectory install vice subdomain, then you're s.o.l.
You get the blog bit for blog #1. It's hard coded into the system to set it apart from the other blogs.
Hi. Thanks for the responses. If I can't remove it, can I switch to ugly URLs? I know most people want the cleaner ones, however, I'd rather not have the word "blog" in there as we're not using wpmu for blogging but for a news system for our writers.
Where is this hard coded in? I'm mainly asking because I'd rather it say /news . I'm running mu for myself only, so In the future i'm not really worried about a new users blog being confused with mine..

I just took it out all together. But there's a few places you'll have to look.
Just grep for /blog, and you'll find it.
I can see it being needed on a subdirectory install, but not on a subdomain one.
