While working on my site, I have run across the same error message quite a few times.
"You don't have permission to do that."
I am the admin and it happens when I try to delete a post, page, edit a page using the custom fields.
Would anyone know what that error message means and what I need to do to fix it? It is really frustrating.
The website is glbtconnect.com

It happened on occasion in 1.0, at least for me.
What version are you using?
For me, I logged out and back in (usually in another tab), and it went away.
If it's 1.0, try the nightly download. I haven't had that issue with them for a while now.
okay...thanks I will try that and see what happens! :)
I am still getting this error message. today I am trying to use the custom field so that I can create a page that links to an external site. I was using the page_links_to plugin.
Any ideas on what I need to do to get rid of this error message. I am logged in as the admin so I should have permission to do everything.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I haven't seen that problem with nightlies lately, or the new 1.1.1 release.
I'd recommend upgrading for starters.
I have upgraded with the latest nightly, but I will try again. Is there another way to create a page that links to another site instead of using the custom fields?

What do you mean by "links to another site"?
As in automatically redirects?
You could use a custom page template, and put a header redirect in there.
