What plugins are necessary for mu to work? Which ones comes with the installation?

I am getting error after error when I try to set up my site and I just feel like starting over.

The latest error message when I login to any of the blogs is:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/jingles/public_html/wp-includes/cron.php on line 101

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/jingles/public_html/wp-includes/cron.php:101) in /home/jingles/public_html/wp-login.php on line 12

What is the best advice for someone who is not a programmer but can find her way around wordpress for the most part.

Really, none. WPMu works out of the box.

Which ones comes with the installation?

Open up your wp-content/mu-plugins subdirectory and take a look.

As to the errors, what have you done so far? Which version of WPMu are you using?

    Errors include...

"You don't have permission to do that."
when adding to the custom fields for a page.

Can not use the delete button to delete a page/post.

created a page in one of the subdomains and now can not view the page. When I click on it it does nothing....and eventually the whole site stopped doing anything - "Your IP was accidently placed in the firewall as something you were doing was consuming mass quantities of server resources."

I have searched on here but am still not able to figure out how to fix it. Part of me wonders if I should just delete and do another install.

Well that's an issue with your host that you need to take up. It's not a WPMU issue.

I can not import from a mu blog to another mu blog.

    And the error would be...

created a page in one of the subdomains and now can not view the page.

    And the error would be...

Can not use the delete button to delete a page/post.

    And the error would be...

Again, what version of WPMu are you running?

What did you do specifically to produce that error up there?

Again, what have you done in attempt to fix that error?

Again, what have you done so far to your WPMu install? Have you installed any themes or plugins or code changes?

Here's a link to the debugging page with questions for you to look over.

Again, what version of WPMu are you running?

    sorry...I am running version 1.0.

The host issue got fixed. :)

I can not import from a mu blog to another mu blog.
    And the error would be...

I get to the "Assign Authors" page and then when I click on submit nothing happens...the little spinning wheel just keeps on spinning....no matter how long I wait.

cannot view page in one of the subdomains
    And the error would be...

Again, Nothing happens...no movement on the transfer bar at the bottom of the page. and then eventually it times out. I just deleted the blog and am starting over. So far so good.

Can not use the delete button to delete a page.
    And the error would be...

acts like the page is being deleted (like normal) then the page line turns red and shows the message "You don't have permission to do that" when logged in as the admin. I have to click on edit and then "delete this page"

Again, what have you done so far to your WPMu install? Have you installed any themes or plugins or code changes?
I have installed the themes from wpmudev.org.
I have modified the theme I had chosen and added a few plugins (since which I have deleted thinking that was the problem). I don't feel confident enough to do anything else. One day! :)

Thank you for being patient and helping me. :) I hope this post gives you better information.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm getting similar "you do not have permission to do this." errors with no explanation.

    http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3807

With solution although you're going to have to work out the correct lines for your WPMu install since that's the regular wordpress trac. :)

It's an issue with the javascript.
