I disabled plugins for a while and brought them back, enabled the theme and plugin editor, but never tampered with widgets. How come they don't appear anymore?
My themes are widget compatible, but they aren't there...any help? What's the URL for widgets in general?
http://automattic.com/code/widgets/
I always put the widget code and widgets in the mu-plugins directory so that it's not visible to the end user.
Are you sure the themes support widgets? Some of the themes over at themes.wp.net say thei support them but don't.
Also note that there is seperate code for 2.0 and 2.1 now as well. You should be running the 2.1 download.
