Hiya,
I've had a rough few days with my sites due to, according to my host:
"a Mysql server bug in 4.1.21 version - specified timeouts were ignored."
This caused sporadic and unpredictable dropping out and dropping back in and has been fixed by a (very slow) upgrade to 4.1.22.

Any details of the problem? I am using Debian Sarge stable 4.1.11 version.
Ask me questions and I'll put them to my hosts and get back to you.

Frankly, I think it's a hosting issue...more than anything else.
Actually running 4.1.21 on my site's box (FreeBSD) as well. On my own Fedora 3 boxes as well.
Could well be - it's waaaay over my head :)
