    Hi,

I am going to build a new site, and since I have been running a Wordpress blog for some time now, I hope to be able to use the same interface and the flexibility to run a new site.

Conventional site, I mean by a normal website on a particular topic.

    e.g. http://www.anandtech.com

Is this possible/advisable? I have never build a website before other than my blog, so would like to seek experienced member's advice.

    Thanks!

Well, I think you need to find the right forum first. This is WordPressMU, and you're talking standard WordPress.

I would definitely use wordpress to build a site even if the client doesn't want to use the blog feature. With WP 2.1, you can set a static homepage.
