I am experiencing problems with accessing the plugin compatibility list. I've tried multiple days and different times with no luck of bringing up the page.
Is this a known behaviour?

As far as I know, no. I haven't seen a MU Plugin Compatibility page in the WP.org Codex yet. :P I could make one up though, if you'd like... LoL! :P

Maybe we could make a thread where people report plugins they tested and that works without any modding?
There's a whole Plugins subforum here. Dig in there. Many plugins works OOTB, it's be a might big list. We all discussed it a while back and decided it would be easier to note ones that *didn't* work or needs mods and posted the mods.
Given that there's thousans of plugins out there, and many are either dupes or used in special cases, it'd be a huge task.
